Privacy Preserving Modules for Ontologies

چکیده

Data privacy is an important application of ontology modularization. The aim is to publish one module while keeping the information of another module private. We show how locality and partitioning two basic concepts in the theory of modular ontologies naturally lead to privacy preserving query answering over modular ontologies.

A centralized privacy-preserving framework for online social networks

There are some critical privacy concerns in the current online social networks (OSNs). Users' information is disclosed to different entities that they were not supposed to access. Furthermore, the notion of friendship is inadequate in OSNs since the degree of social relationships between users dynamically changes over the time. Additionally, users may define similar privacy settings for their f...

Privacy-Preserving Reasoning for Hypergraphical Knowledge Bases

Many semantic web applications require selective sharing of ontologies between autonomous entities due to copyright, privacy or security concerns. In our previous work it was shown that, on such occasions, an agent who wishes to hide part of its ontology while sharing the rest may still be able to answer safely queries against its knowledge base using inferences based on both hidden and visible...

A Lightweight Privacy-preserving Authenticated Key Exchange Scheme for Smart Grid Communications

Smart grid concept is introduced to modify the power grid by utilizing new information and communication technology. Smart grid needs live power consumption monitoring to provide required services and for this issue, bi-directional communication is essential. Security and privacy are the most important requirements that should be provided in the communication. Because of the complex design of s...

Privacy-Preserving Schema Matching Using Mutual Information

The problem of schema or ontology matching is to define mappings among schema or ontology elements. Such mappings are typically defined between two schemas or two ontologies at a time. Ideally, using the defined mappings, one would be able to issue a single query that will be rewritten automatically to all the databases, instead of manually writing a query to each database. In a centrally media...

Preserving Module Privacy in Workflow Provenance

We study the problem of providing workflow data provenance without revealing the functionality of any module. We develop a model that formalizes the notion of privacy of modules embedded in a workflow structure as a natural extension of privacy of standalone modules. Our model shows that by hiding a small amount of carefully chosen data, one can ensure privacy of all modules over an unbounded n...
